Guide for the MUN!

Attending a Model United Nations as a delegate requires a lot of preparation.

Students should be able to accurately represent their country policy on a specific matter. This starts with research.

The position paper is a document all delegates have to submit to their chairs by September 23rd. It will act as a basic guideline for the delegate during the conference. The chairs will also use this document to assess the delegates performance in the committee.

The position paper should contain:

Best Delegate 101 - How to succeed at APROMUN

Dear First-time delegates, it's our pleasure to see your registration to the APROMUN conference. We want to see you shine in your committees straight away, thus we want to do everything we can to help you prepare for the event. This guide is composed of points in order, however the order does not matter, they are all equally important.

We are backing each point up with some links as well. The links will take you to MUN forums and blogs such as bestdelegate.com. These pages are written by people with lots of experience, so they know what they're talking about. Along with some of our personal experience from our first MUN events we try to give you the best advice to succeed as a first-time delegate. So read this carefully and try as hard as you can, but don't forget to have fun, because that's what MUN is all about.
